Fiber-Optic Link to Remote Devices—Combine the SEL-9220 with a duplex SEL-C808 Fiber-Optic Cable and an SEL-2812MT Fiber-Optic Transceiver to create a fiber-optic link for data and time synchronization to the following devices:

• SEL-2600 RTD Module
• SEL-2664 Field Ground Module
• SEL-3530 Real-Time Automation Controller (RTAC)
• SEL-2505 Remote I/O Module
• SEL-2523 Annunciator Panel
• SCADA System

EIA-485 to Fiber-Optic Interface—Apply the SEL-9220 Fiber-Optic Adapter to an SEL-300 series relay to convert the EIA-485 port to a fiber-optic interface that is equivalent to an SEL-2812MR Fiber-Optic Transceiver. The SEL-9220 uses 850 nm wavelength optics.
